After a long hiatus in wedding activity (and in my posts to this update, really), we were ALL excited to finally get back into the circle of life again in May of 2021 and it shows in this beautiful wedding! Equally beautiful is this couple who I immediately felt an affinity for.
I knew we would have an excellent opportunity to capture some vivid scenes with such great subjects and ideal locations in our fair city! I have cut back a great deal on my wedding work in order to pursue my fine art and commercial photography lately but still enjoy keeping my skills polished, especially with great customers from throughout my career and Kelsey’s is one of my favorite families from that conclave.
The church was the former St. Joseph’s (now Divine Mercy) Parish in the Minooka section of Scranton. This church always impressed me with its elegant yet modern architecture featuring a sweeping ‘wave’ ceiling and vivid stained glass windows. Kelsey and Mike are not only stunningly attractive but both have modest, endearing personalities that everyone loves and I believe it shows in their faces as you watch this video production.
The stately Scranton Estate at the University Of Scranton served as our movie set for the day and the weather and lighting conditions were perfect that day. Everyone was in such a jovial mood because this was probably one of the first times any of us had to gather in a public way after so many long months of seclusion and separation.
The high energy began at the Collonade with the powerful sound of Daddy-O and the Sax Maniax who just barely fit their band in the patio tent but it made the experience all the more dynamic, but before the music, there are always toasts and there was not an emotion left unfelt with deep and touching sentiments exchanged in honor of our happy couple.
Enjoy this very abbreviated glimpse into this wonderful day and come back again soon because you will not be disappointed because I’m sure I won’t be able to resist posting more cool clips from this wedding!
