Once more, after far too long a hiatus, I am back in the office, focusing on updating everyone on my latest projects again!
When I received an inquiry from Leah about my Professional Headshot Photography for talent, acting and modeling I had no idea she just happened to be the daughter of one of my clients from decades earlier.
Those subjects happened to be among my most memorable wedding couples back when I was still doing wedding photography as a full service business! In fact, at that time, I used her mother’s portrait as a studio display sample in my reception room for years. So it was no surprise that mom’s great look and flair for posing manifested itself in her daughter to an even greater measure. Leah was a pleasure to work with; having a very adaptive range of expression and a natural ability to flow from one look to the next without a great deal of direction on my part. She also had a very articulate way of communicating her ideas with a very focused set of goals planned out so it made my job much easier when it was time to interpret them in the camera. I know Leah will have a bright, exciting path ahead regardless of which direction she chooses!
Model photography, talent photography and of course actors; especially those celebrities of the early years of Hollywood film making were the inspiration behind my interest in starting a photography career back when I was a teen perousing the beautiful coffee table books at my local mall book store in the 1970’s. These books featuring the works of some of the greatest promotional pinup photographers of Hollywood’s Golden Age were just the creative edge I needed to kindle the photographic flame in my soul!
As I progress through generations into a more unhurried way of life, I plan to transition my photography career to reflect a less laborious, more reminiscent, ageless interpretation my work. I find myself even more attuned to the world around me in the context of what it was and what it might be in the future with fascinating advances in A.I. technology with all of it’s many possibilities and challenges.
Regardless of where science and technology may take us you can always count on the fact that talented people like Leah will always be the one irreplaceable element. The HUMAN element forming the basis of any art form. I plan to be part of that artistic world for as long as I can!
